If you are wanting to visit the White House when you are making your Washington D.C. tourism plans then be sure to get your request into your Congressman at least a couple of months before you plan on being in the District. The way to get tickets for a tour is to contact your Congressman and let them assist you in accomplishing your goal.

The White House tours arranged through your Congressman are free, you can also buy tickets with a tour group but those tours are rather expensive.

You will be able to visit the State Dining Room, Red Room, Blue Room Green Room, East Room, China Room, Diplomatic Reception Room, Library and the Vermeil Room.

Tours of the grounds and the White House Visitor Center are also available with history and sites that will make your visit even more memorable.
